If someone close to you has died who lived in the parish of Ripley, or who has recent links with the church, we would be happy to talk to you about holding their funeral here, or about one of our ministers taking a Christian funeral elsewhere such as in a Crematorium chapel. We do not have a church graveyard, but burials can take place in Ripley Cemetery, and the local crematorium is nearby in Swanwick.
Most often when a loved one has died, families will make the first arrangements for the funeral with a funeral director. The funeral director will then get in touch with the church to discuss funeral details, so that you don’t have to be talking to too many people at the early stages. The minister taking the service will then be in touch with the family to discuss the funeral. However, if you would like to discuss anything directly with the church or a minister after someone has died then please contact Jenny Roberts in the church office or one of the clergy for further information.
